The Environment
Drop Box
Over 500 million cartridges found thier way to land fills, unregulated dumps and incinerators last year. Fewer than 30% were remanufactured or recycled. In most cases your well cared for printer cartridges may be reused many times.
Most conservative studies show that over 25% of landfill material is plastic in composition.

Modern techniquiques have made remanufac-
turing printing cartridges cheaper than buying new and postpones the need to expend the crude oil it takes to make one. At the same time, new cartridges are being made smaller with less capacity. IQcartridge can increase capacity in many cartridge designs giving some newer models longer and more productive lives.
You may be aware that many printer cartridges are not fully filled when new. Some manufacturers produce cartridges that must be filled less than full by design. This strategy makes consumers buy more cartridges. A half full cartridge uses the same amount of crude oil to manufacture as a full one. Conservation of your money or the environment are not components of this strategy.
A printer cartridge starts life as a single-use design. This maximizes revenue for the manufacturer. Returning a used cartridge to the manufacturer simply removes the spent cartridge from the remnaufacting market. Every remanufactured cartridges delays the sale of a new one. Manufacturers do not support reuse of thier empty cartridges for obvious reasons.
