If your cartridge has passed the tests, it will now be remanufactured. In the process the top cap of your cartridge may be removed or replaced. If this happens we will either put your old top back on or replace it with a universal top. Many cartridge models are identical except for the top.
Tops and Caps
Universal tops are designed to fit in any printer. For example, Lexmark model 20, 60 and 80 color (right) cartridges are the same with one exception; the top cap. Lexmark model 16 cartridges (below) with tops for various proprietary printers and fax machines.
