It is against the law for your warranty to be made void by using remanufactured cartridges. The Law was a 70's era piece of Federal legislation called the Magnusson Moss Warranty Improvement Act. It closely tied warranty responsibility to anti-trust laws preventing manufacturers from shutting out aftermarket suppliers. A law suit against a computer manufacturer by a disk drive maker prompted Congress to make this legislation. It applies to any after market supplies that are made for products from vacuum cleaners (buy any bag you want) to cars (oil, oil filters, tires...)

Remanufactured cartridges with built in print heads are not as-good as the OEM cartridges. They are OEM cartridges. They may be cleaned, refilled and modified but copyright laws prevent aftermarket manufacturers from building new, non OEM cartridges without going through a gamut of legal battles. All pint head integrated cartridges come from the OEMs.
