Percentage increases are conservative minimums and are approximate. Generally, modifications increase capacity by well over 50% (greater than 150% of stock capacity) in actual ink volume and cartridge yield. Cartridge internal capacity varies among cartridges of the same model based on vintage, place of manufacture and condition. Cartridges of the same model can be surprisingly non-uniform. As an example, a given cartridge model may be manufactured in several different facilities globally with mold changes applied at different intervals. HP 21 was originally produced with a full capacity sponge that can simply be filled to a fuller specification. Current HP 21 models have partitions and partial sponges that IQcartridge modifies. IQcartridge fills all cartridges to the fullest specification for a given internal configuration at no extra charge. Modification are only for cartridges with partitions and reduced internal volumes.
